My Book on Layered Colored Pencil Jewelry – Available Now!

373 Bridge Street, Loveland, Ohio  45140

By Appointment or by Chance…..

I consider myself a wearable artist rather than a jewelry designer, specializing in lampwork, beadwork and metalwork. I seldom make the same thing twice, although I will get hooked on something I can’t quit until the itch is totally scratched-Mask/Faces, dragged dots, windows, bead embroidery, and the current obsession of colored pencil on copper layered jewelry.

“Using colored pencil on metal allows me to push the boundaries of wearable art that produces results unlike any other method. Surprisingly both durable and lightweight, the layers of color and metal combine to form unique pieces of texture, depth and beauty. I love the reaction when people connect with my pieces – personal adornment is often an outward expression of intimate emotions and personality.”

I can be found plugging away in my studio in Loveland, Ohio. Lately, The demand to teach workshops has kept me on the road quite a bit. I have been fortunate to have her work grace the pages of Bead&Button, Lapidary Journal, 1000 Glass Beads, 500 Beaded Objects, Beads of Glass, Glass Bead Evolution, and has been in exhibits and traveling shows. I recently released my book “Layered Colored Pencil Jewelry.” Look for a second book to be published in mid 2019.

“Because you know life is too short to wear the ordinary!”

  1. I love Mary’s classes. She is patient, creative, and funny. She will share whatever it is you want to know and hold nothing back like a lot of teachers.
I like her classes so much I would travel miles to take from her.

  2. As a customer, I have discovered a new way to shop for jewelry with Mary’s website. Rather than buy the clothes and figure out the accessories, I think it’s fun to select a fun necklace or earrings, and shop for the clothes! Great selection for myself and gifts for friends and family. Thanks, Mary!

  3. Mary’s colors are rich and bold. The designs are beautiful. She is kind and generous in her classes. A truly excellent artist and teacher.

  4. I loved your class, learned so much; it was also a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in which to learn. Thank you

  5. Hi Mary. I am really looking forward to the classes scheduled for next weekend. I just want to confirm that you have me listed. Also, should we bring anything?

    Thanks so much.
